Similarly to TIPS (2012), the Concerto for Marimba fuses elements from different musical styles to create an entertaining, easy-to-listen mix of world music, latin grooves, baroque and Oldies. The piece was written for Ria Ideta and was commissioned by Filia GmbH. It was premiered in Tokyo in 2014 with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Kazuki Yamada.
